Windsor, Ontario Firefighter, George Copeland, suffered a serious spinal cord injury as the result of a tragic motor vehicle accident on March 2, 2007, while en route to an alarm.
George’s firefighter brothers and sisters and well-wishers around the world have responded with prayers, words of encouragement and contributions for George.
Now, a year later, a cooperative initiative by the Windsor Professional Firefighters Association and the Greater Windsor Home Builders Association along with the support of Windsor Fire & Rescue Service is underway to construct a new, fully accessible, Energy Star Rated home for George and his family.

The Radisson Riverfront Hotel in Windsor has generously arranged for accommodations for volunteers helping in the "Build for George" project.
